The ( semolina) Suji halwa is prepared the quickest among all the halwa. It does not take much time to make and not much ingredients are used. Although everyone loves it hence, this halwa does not require any occassion to prepare. But other than that semolina halwa is also made in our Prasad (offerings to God), especially in our country it is definitely made in Kanya Puja during Navratri. It is very tasty in food, semolina, ghee and sugar are specially used to make it. It is specially made with puri, potato vegetable. Some people make halwa only by adding Suji, while some people prepare it by adding flour .
Ingredients For Suji Halwa
- Desi Ghee – 1 bowl
- Semolina – 1 bowl
- Sugar – 1 bowl
- Water – 4 bowls
- Cashews – 6 – 7
- Badam – 4 – 5
- Cardamom – 4 – 5
Suji Ka Halwa Recipe
1.First of all take a heavy bottom pan and put it on the gas and heat it by adding ghee.
2. When the ghee is hot, turn the gas on medium heat then add Suji to it.
3. Stir until the Suji turns golden brown
4. When it turns golden brown, add water slowly and keep it running very fast, otherwise the lumps will fall.
5. Now add ground cardamom and chopped nuts to it.
6. When the water dries and the Suji turns into a cart then add sugar to it and stir it for 2-3 minutes.
7. Turn off the gas as soon as the Suji halwa becomes thick.
8. You can also add milk instead of water to semolina halwa.
9. Your hot semolina halwa is ready to eat
Suggestion
- Adding milk instead of water to Suji halwa makes halwa more delicious.
- If you want, you can add 5-7 leaves of saffron to the halwa, it will add more flavor.
- If you want to make the halwa more soft, you can also make halwa by mixing three parts Suji and one part flour.
