Meetha Aam ka Lacha Achar | Grated Mango Pickle

Mango, we all love it and crave for it the whole year as it is available for just 2-3 months, but the best thing is we make pickle of it to have it all around the year. Here I have given an extremely simple, quick and very tasty recipe to make Meetha Aam ka Lacha Achar, which is so yummy in taste that you will be glad to have it and it will upgrade the flavor of all that you eat. Also the aptest species of mango for Meetha Aam ka Lacha Achar is RAMKELA .

Ingredients of Meetha Aam ka Lacha Achar:-

  • Raw Mango – 1 kg
  • Sugar – 750 grams
  • Red Chili Powder – 1tbsp
  • Salt – 1/2tbsp
  • Cloves – 4-5
  • Cardamom – 5-6
  • Refine Oil – 2tbsp

Recipe of Aam ka Meetha Lachha Achar

Grate Raw mangoes

1.For aam ka lachha achar take raw mangoes wash them properly. Now peel and then grate them.

Add sugar

2. Take these grated mangoes, put it in the Kadhayi (Take a thick base kadhayi and be careful not to use kadhai made of iron) and keep it on gas. and add sugar in it.

3. Mix it and keep it for 1 hour so that the sugar melts.

4. Take a tadka pan add 2 tbsp refine oil in it. When it starts heating add cloves to it. After they start to splutter switch off the flame.

5. Add this tadka in the grated mango. Now add salt in it.

6. Put the kadahi on full gas and allow it to boil. Keep stirring it in small intervals.

7. After 20-25 min Meetha Achar will start becoming thick. Check the chashni of Achar has become 1 string (1 taar ) thicker or not.

8. Switch off the gas and sprinkle the crushed cardamom. Keep it aside to cool.

9. After cooling add red chilli powder in Meetha Aam ka Achar.

10. Store your aam ka lachedar meetha achar in an airtight jar. You can have it for a year or more.

Never put wet spoon in your aam ka lacha achar, always take it out with dry spoon otherwise it will get fungus.
