- Fenugreek seeds or Kasuri methi not only enhances the flavor and beauty of the food, but it is also good for the diabetic patient and for those with low hemoglobin.
- This herb is also helpful in weight loss.
- It increases appetite and strengthens the bones of the body.
- Along with the several benefits it has, it also cures stomach pain.
How to dry Fenugreek Leaves at home?
- First of all, take fresh fenugreek leaves. Remove the rotten leaves if any.
- Pluck the fenugreek leaves from the stem.
- Now wash the leaves 3 to 4 times with water to remove soil.
- Put all the fenugreek in a sieve and drain all the water.
- Now place a clean cloth or paper in a clean place, spread the leaves on it.
- Allow the leaves to dry under the shade because drying in the shade keeps the color and the fragrance of the leaves intact.
- You can also keep it under the fan for quick drying. This will take almost two days to dry.
- After that, keep it under sunlight for 1 hour only to make the leaves crispy.
- When it completely dries, fill it in a sealed container.
- You can use it for 6 months. Because after that the color of its leaves starts deteriorating and the fragrance also changes which can spoil the taste.
- You can add a big spoon of this dried fenugreek leaves in any vegetable or gravy by either grinding it or directly add it as it is.
How to use Dried Fenugreek Leaves
Kasuri Methi is a flavourful herb that immediately improves the flavor of a dish. You can add it to your curries like Shahi Paneer, Kadhai paneer, Pav Bhaji, Matar Paneer, Mathri, Parantha and dal fry,etc. You can add it to any curry you like.
